According to the Concept for the Development of Distance Education in Ukraine, approved by the Decree of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated December 20, 2000, distance education is considered a form of education equivalent to full-time, evening, part-time and external studies, which is implemented mainly using distance learning technologies.

The teaching staff of the distance school «Optima» are professional experienced teachers and specialists in information and communication technologies (ICT) in the field of education, who are responsible for the technical functioning of the school website and advising students. These are more than 30 talented teachers, among whom there are honored laureates of international competitions and candidates of science. The educational material, developed by teachers and presented in multimedia form, corresponds to the curricula of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Graduates of the distance school «Optima» receive educational documents of the state standard of Ukraine (certificate of basic general secondary education in grade 9 or a certificate of complete general secondary education in grade 11) and a high level of preparation for admission to any higher educational institution in the world. Distance learning is recommended students with special educational needs, gifted children and youth who are able to independently or quickly master the curriculum; persons living in geographically remote and hard-to-reach settlements in universities, who are preparing to enter universities, wish to gain additional knowledge in parallel with their studies at school or live abroad for an indefinite period, having Ukrainian citizenship.

Forms of education and programs

STUDENT is a form of distance learning, which is carried out under the supervision of teachers from the «Optima» Education Center. Students systematically and by lessons study all the subjects of the corresponding class in accordance with the Working curriculum of the "Optima Education Center", developed in accordance with the curricula of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. At the end of school, a document on education of a unified state standard is issued for the corresponding level of education (report card, certificate, certificate).

EXTERN is a form of study suitable for students wishing to accelerate the completion of one or more classes. The student independently studies the school subjects of the corresponding class and submits only a limited number of tests for assessment.
All subjects of grades 1-11, which are interactively and interestingly taught at the Distance School «Optima», correspond to the list of school subjects of the curriculum of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Information for applicants - the most transparent and convenient admission

To enroll in the «Optima» distance school without the physical presence of the applicant, using the means of electronic and postal communication.

For admission to the «Optima» Education Center, you must submit the following documents:

• statement of parents or persons replacing them (a sample statement is sent on request);
• a copy of the child's birth certificate;
• student's (student's) personal file;
• certificate of basic general secondary education (for students who graduated from grade 9);
• 1 photograph, size 3x4 cm.

Families from the occupied territories of Ukraine, in order to simplify the admission procedure, are allowed not to provide the child's personal file and medical card from the place of study. Upon enrollment, the school administration independently draws up the student's personal file.
